a "been-there" mom of six offers encouragement
to wives, young mothers, and those not so young,
and simple common-sense approaches to
the "ings" of life:
child-rearing (hints and helps), homemaking (all areas),
cooking (simple, cheap, and do-it-yourself)
making (toys and gifts), preparing (for the unexpected),
maintaining (sanity and peace in this increasingly crazy world) and more---
all aspects of making the most of making do on little---
and having fun in the process.

A Letter to Moms

                                                                                                  15 August 2011
Dear Moms,
I know raising a family is hard, and I know how worn out you get. I know how hard it is when money is short. Hang in there! I hope that some of my ideas will make the long haul a little easier for you. Try hard to enjoy your children, and truly love them and like them.
When you really think about it, they are not in our care for very long. And, it is the first few years when they are most vulnerable and teachable, when they look up to us in total awe, that we can lay our groundwork.
Please do everything you possibly can to be there for your children. Things grow old. Children grow up. Trust me when I say the time will pass more quickly than you can ever imagine possible.
May our Heavenly Father bless you in your efforts.
                                                                                                   Simply, Gail
