a "been-there" mom of six offers encouragement
to wives, young mothers, and those not so young,
and simple common-sense approaches to
the "ings" of life:
child-rearing (hints and helps), homemaking (all areas),
cooking (simple, cheap, and do-it-yourself)
making (toys and gifts), preparing (for the unexpected),
maintaining (sanity and peace in this increasingly crazy world) and more---
all aspects of making the most of making do on little---
and having fun in the process.

Beyond Materialism --- What has happened to our "holidays"?

We have just celebrated a wonderful holiday (holy day).
Wherever you live in the world I hope you were able to put aside some of the material things to remember and give thanks for the Atonement and Resurrection of the
Lord Jesus Christ.

It is impossible to comprehend how much He suffered as He paid the price for the sins of everyone of us who has ever lived---no matter who we are, where we live, or what sins we have committed.

Three days after the time He gave up His life for us,Jesus rose from the tomb. His resurrection is the greatest miracle of all time. No matter who we are, where we live, or the sins we have committed He did this so we could all rise again.

The miracles that appear everywhere this time of year---
grass turning green, flowers and vegetables coming to life,
birds singing--- remind us of His great gift of immortality.

May we always remember.
